NL Only 2013 Fantasy Baseball 3B Rankings

My fantasy baseball advice for 3B in  NL Only leagues is to concentrate on the number 140. There are a number of NL Only 3B who can be very valuable as long as they play 140 games.

David Wright - NYM - While Wright may not put up any huge number in any particluar category he will give you strong production accross the board. The Wright Stuff is good for at least 20HR-90RBI-90R-15SB-.290AVG.

Ryan Zimmerman - WAS - When he plays at least 140 games gives you almost as good production as Wright with a little bit more power, little less average but with no steals.

Aramis Ramirez - MIL - In his 15 year MLB career when he has played 140+ games he has been a strong power hitter with a high average. His two years in Milwaukee has played 149 games each season and given fantasy owners strong numbers accross the board except for SB.

Chase Headley - SD - Probably the most interesting name on the NL 3B list. Was last season a career year for Headley? Headley owners like myself where hoping for 15HR, 15SB with 75R and RBI along with a plus .285 AVG. Headley contributed above value with 31HR and 115RBI. How will he respond to duplicate last season? Be conservative and bank on 20HR, 90R/RBI with 15SB and a BA north of .280

Pablo Sandoval - SF - Last two seasons has played 108 and 117 games. The year before had a very disappointing season after an exceptional rookie season. Even though Panda is a big roto name out of his four seasons only one has been noteworthy and that was his rookie year. Also his body is one where he would be prone to injury unless he drops the lbs. Again if he can play 140 games he will be a strong roto player.

Martin Prado - ARI - Always considered him a poor man's 4 category player but last year he became a poor man's 5 category player with 17 steals. In a better hitters ballpark and a pro's pro. Also qualifies in the OF.

David Freese - STL - Solid power bat who will hit .290 or better. Again needs to break 140 games like he did last season.

Pedro Alvarez - PIT - A lot of pop and super streaky but poor average. Plus all those K's will mean he is prone for some bad streaks.

Todd Frazier - CIN - Finally got a chance and contributed close to 20HR and 70RBI in just 422 AB's. Reds are talking about resigning Scott Rolen so that could be very important on Frazier's value. Frazier also qualifies at 1B.

Michael Young - PHI - His power has gone in a steep decline last two years and that was in Texas, one of the better places to hit in MLB. However, if you can get him for a moderate price on draft day can be a nice value. Just don't expect his former huge years those days are gone. Also qualifies at 1B.

Chris Johnson - ATL - Coming off a good year but has been very inconsistent in his career.... and more down. Cannot be trusted.

Polacido Polanco - MIA - Really doesn't do much and is in his late 30's, serviceable.

Ian Stewart - CHI - He didn't respond last year and only gettng another shot because the Cubs have no other options. $1 flyer at best.

Luis Cruz - LAD - Gave nice value last season and also qualifies at SS. Dodgers also talking to Scott Rolen so keep an eye on that as well.

Colorado 3B - Watch the spring on who will get the majority of AB's between Chris Nelson, Jordan Pacheco, Ryan Wheeler and 3B of the future Nolan Arrenado.
